Diggity Dog Treats is lovingly owned by Cindy Simmons. She developed the idea of the business in 2016 when her dogs became sick and burned from eating store bought treats.
Cindy started investigating healthy, wholesome treats that she could make at home for her dogs. As she played around with different flavour combinations, she found more and more recipes that worked with her dogs.
When family and friends learned of her success with her treats, they suggested that she try to sell them to the public. She made a few batches and started making rounds at some of the local festivals. She found more and more success at each festival. By the time she appeared at the Festival of Friends in Hamilton, she was selling out her products before the weekends were over.
With the increase in success, she decided to take it one step further and opened her store in Stoney Creek in October 2017. She is now in the process of having some of her products on the shelves of Tail Blazers locations! We wish her the best of luck with her newest venture!

During her research, Cindy came across this video to help her learn how to make homemade doggie biscuits. She took what she learned in this video and went further by adding other ingredients to make several flavours of doggie treats!
